I searched and came up with 36 pages of hits on this. After wading through the first four pages, I failed to see anything relevant.
So forgive me if this is a common question....
I have a mac and have recently enabled TivoGoBack on it. I've been pulling some old TV series off of DVD for my iPod, and I was struck by the thought of...
"If I set this up right, I can watch these through the Tivo, too!"
But what's the proper file format? I'm proficient with ffmpeg and have Toast, so file conversion isn't an issue.
The MPEG-4's that I've ripped for the iPod don't show up...
Do they have to be MPEG-2's? What's the right format for these?
Thanks,
cnsayre
