Software 8.3

Are there any Humax DVD/DVR owners who have received the new software 8.3 yet? I am most interested to see if there are and if anyone has tested out the front panel RCA inputs to record from a device like a VCR back to the TIVO harddrive. In software 8.1 Humax owners like me have had to wait till new software comes out which is supposed to reactive the front pannerl Audio left and right port. The video ports work but that is it...

I don't use my front panel inputs so I can't test it out...

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have signed up for the priorty for both of my TIVO units. Been waiting for over three days now... Time will tell... Once I do get the software update I will be testing it out and will repost.

you might want to check for "Pending Restart" and if you see it, manually restart the machine... if its' not Pending, try forcing a connection and see what happens

The front panel connectors now work fine with 8.3

As you are aware it was only the composite video input that shut down front panel audio, S-Video never stopped working. However the out put of most people's cameras are composite, so it was a shame when I couldn't plug those in without having to go through the VCR instead. Anyway, they now work as expected.
