I just purchased a Magnavox MSR90D6 and I tried following their instuctions to hook it up to my Hughes SD-dvr-40 series 2 with no success.I know very little about DVD's and was wondering if anybody has gone to the trouble to write up a step by step procedure for hooking up DVD recorders like my equipment. I have just spent about an hour on several forums trying to get an education on DVD recorders and it seems the more I read the more I get confused. I don't want to be an expect but I would like to be able to record Dvd's with the equiptment I now have. Would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction

Connect the RCA Video out and Audio out from the SD DVR40 to the RCA Video In and Audio in on the MSR90D6. That's all you have to do.

You also need to select the appropriate input on the DVD recorder.

Turns out I had the cables OK but I wasn't on the right input channel on my Sony TV.
Thanks guys for responding

The manual I got with my Magnavox MSR90D6 didn't go into much detail about " titles & Chapter"
Titles was obvious but I don't see what the value Chapters are. Is this something unique to Magnavox or do all DVD recorders have this option ??

Inserting chapters allows you to jump to sections within a title. Kinda like the chapters in a book. My LiteOn allows me to insert chapters.
