I've been thinking about changing my secondary OTA market and I'm wondering if I do this will I have to re-enter all my season passes. I get signals for 3 markets and the HD quality of one or two in the secondary market are poor at best due to too many sub channels.

Has anyone done this recently?

I have never had to reset all my SP's. TiVo will read other markets and add/subtract channels for repeated programs. My primary is Milwaukee and I sometimes flip my secondary from Madison to Rockford, then back and never had to re-enter SP's.

Good to know, I'll give it a try.

Season passes are channel-specific. If you change your alternate market and it changes the channel numbers then you will have to reset the season passes for any channels that are different.

Well I gave it a try with bad results in more ways than one. My primary market is Detroit and I had Lansing set as my secondary. I flipped to Flint/Saginaw/Bay City since that is basically local. I did it when I'd be around to see what happened. None of my Season Passes recorded tonight, even the ones that were set to record from Detroit stations. I also found it wiped out all my Lansing stations remapping. It's been ages since I had to punch in the actual channel number, but tonight I had to.

Now I remember why I didn't use the Flint locals, the word inept comes to mind. The NBC outlet has been HD for almost 2 years now but they still haven't figured out how to sync the audio, close to a second delay. When they first went HD I called them about this and they said they were working on it, I guess they work real slow. I ran into another problem also. most of the local stations are in an arc of about 30 decrees, from NNW to just a bit past N, with one almost due South. I have an extremely directional antenna and could not get all my locals with the antenna in one direction. I haver another antenna on the tower that is not nearly as directional but it's not worth the trouble with bad sync and stretch-o-vision on another channel to change the wiring.

So, end result is I put things back as they were.
