Hello...

Just hooked up my new Humax DRT400 after the hard drive in my Pioneer prematurely died. I have a USB powered fan that I keep in the cabinet with the unit to dissipate the heat. The fan worked fine with the Pioneer but doesn't work with the Humax. I have never used the networking feature, just the USB port to power the fan. Why wouldn't it work with the Humax? Is there some way to activate/deactivate the USB port?

Thanks...

Hmmm... I have a Humax DRT400 and a TiVo Wireless G plugged into the USB port, so I know the ports are active. Haven't tried a USB fan, though.

Well, there might not be enough current to power the fan. For instance, a non-powered hub might have 100mA per port compared to 500mA for a powered hub.
