What are the big differences between the Tivo OS and the OS for the H20. I am a huge Tivo fan. Not sure if I would like a new OS with the HR20.

You'll get a somewhat biased opinion on this subject here. :)
Here's the forum that discusses the HR20.

Now that forum will also be biased.
If you are used to the TiVo GUI, then the HR20 may be big disappointment.

While I am also a huge Tivo fan, I had to switch to the HR20 if I wanted to stay with DirecTV and get all the promised HD stations.
I find that the biggest disparity between the two systems is in the controll over ff and rew. The HR20 is not nearly as smooth and precise. It is a constant frustration, but one I am living with. The rest of the features are very similar if somewhat different.

I currently have both. Biggest difference to me is the HR20 does not allow you to make wishlists which I use a lot with the HR10-250. I don't see this being complained about a lot but I miss it even more than not having live buffers.

You do realize that you can set for auto-record when you do a Search for Title, Keyword, etc., right? I have an auto-record set for "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on the off-chance that the movie ends up on HDNet Movies.
