WM11 and TivoToGo files problem (aspect ratio)

I just reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop which included Windows Media Player 11.
Now my tivo files play with a narrow and tall aspect ratio.
Is there a way to fix this in WMP11?

Sounds like a mpeg2 codec problem. If you have desktop plus, re-install it. The non-plus version doesn't come with a codec and depends on whatever you have on your system. See this thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=4926925&&#post4926925). After you install a viable codec it's possible you may have to increase its "merit" in the Direct Show system. One tool that can do that is Radlight Filter Manager (free at www.videohelp.com/tools).

When a video is loaded into WMP bring up properties and it will tell you what codecs are being used for video and audio.
