Toshiba SD-H400 Replacement Remote

I am in need of a remote for my Toshiba unit and have looked on eBay and the web, finding replacements costing in the $80 range. Does anyone know of a site that has these for a more reasonable price or can someone suggest an alternate remote unit that would let me operate both the Tivo and DVD player functions--again, for a reasonable price?

I use the OFA 6131 on my 400. Works like a charm once it's program'd. Maybe Edmund can pop in here and give you all the poop. He is our remote guru. I think that mine cost $13.00 at BB.

In the absence of Edmund's wisdom, this one looks like it will do nicely. I've been looking at it on OFA's site. Are you able to access all the SD-H400 Tivo/DVD playback functions with this? I'm not versed in these universal remotes. Do you assign a button to act as the "Tivo" button? I ask because in looking at the online manual for the remote, it does not list Toshiba under "Setup codes for PVR's".

The Toshiba code is under DVD units. Works good for my two SD-H400's. If you need the setup information, let me know, and I'll dig through my stuff and find it. There were a few custom settings for the SD-H400, but I got the 6131's a couple of years ago, and can't recall the details.

The 6131 has a blue button that serves as a TiVo button.

The instruction book that comes with the remote will tell you how to program a specific key. I would just print out the above link information and have at it (plus save the page somewhere cause you may need it in the future). Good luck.
