Hi All
More adventures with my parents' TiVo. It's unsubbed and connected to a non-mainstream STB (a Chinese Channel STB), so manual recordings are fine.
The last time it made a successful call was back in July and the clock has now drifted and is 9 minutes too fast, but at least it coped with the BST change last month. Unfortunately last July was when there were some pretty bad thunderstorms and the modem was frazzled.
Short of buying a network card, or setting the TiVo to accept telnet, how can I set the clock? Where is the 'time' stored?
I have my own networked, subbed TiVo, so can I take out the hard disc of my parents' TiVo and put in my TiVo to sync the clock? Or won't that work as the time is set in the TiVo hardware?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Paul
