My free Tivo Plus trial extended...huh?

I have a Pioneer/Tivo box. I was on the 45 day free trial, which ended the other day. I logged in a couple of nights ago and set up my manual recordings, etc., since the trial was over.

Then I logged in today and it appears that Tivo has extended my trial for another 30 days...Huh? Is this standard?

Tivo Plus (Basic) is free for life.

Sounds like he had a free trial version of the full-blown tivo. I know I had the same with a Toshiba once upon a time. They didn't extend my trial version, that's for sure.

Although when it reverts back to Tivo basic, it's not like you have to manually record by entering time and channel (yes you lose Season Pass etc).

Well, my free trial to Tivo plus disappeared again, and I'm back (again) to Tivo basic. I don't know what happened there...Some sort of glitch on Tivo's part, apparently...

TiVo has been having issues with the DVD unit accounts lately. I've seen several posts from people who have full plus accounts and have had things not record because the unit reverted to basic for a short period. You are apparently seeing the reverse of the same bug.
