Lifetime sub differences...

I just bought a Tivo! Toshiba SD-400 to be exact with lifetime basic...

my question is...what's the difference between lifetime basic and Premium? and also if there are any other kinds of lifetime subs out there (besides the HD upgraded from grandfather one)?

"TiVo Basic" on the Toshiba machines is NOT "Lifetime".

"Lifetime" is when the machine was subscribed "for the lifetime of the machine", and a lump sum was paid.

Some people have been using the term "lifetime" to encourage sales of unsubscribed machines, and it causes confusion.
