I have a Tivo Series 2 with a Comcast digital cable box. When the Tivo is recording and I put it in standy to watch live TV, all I get is a blue screen.
Has anyone experienced this and know what I need to do to be able to watch Live TV while the Tivo is in standy? Please help! Thanks!

Don't put it in standby. You should choose watch live tv from TiVo menu while recording.

You should choose watch live tv from TiVo menu while recording.Only if you want to watch the show that's being recorded.
At the minimum you need to run a coax that bypasses the cable box, since with a cable box you'd only be able to watch the channel that the cable box is tuned to (which will be the channel that the TiVo is recording). At this point you might as well bypass the TiVo as well and run the coax directly into the back of the TV. Switch the input to the coax to bypass the TiVo, switch the input to the auxiliary input or S-Video input to watch from the TiVo.
Some Comcast franchises (Philly, for one) scramble basic cable so you'd need a second box to accomplish this.
