I made a component cable according to http://archive2.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=230291
I also reduced the colour intensity using iicset as it was a bit oversaturated (not really up to producing circuits as someone later in the thread did).
Now I've got a wierd switching issue. The component output comes out in 4:3 *unless* I switch the composite signal back on.
So I have:
iicsetw 0x8Ch 0x3AH 15 - 4:3
iicsetw 0x8Ch 0x3AH 11 - 16:9, but the picture looks rubbish as it has the composite signal mixed in.
Now I'm pretty sure that component doesn't even *have* widescreen switching, so I'm not sure how it's doing it... the TV is picking up on something - just haven't worked out what yet. I'd rather the switching happened automatically if possible, but I'd settle for it going 16:9 permanently.
Any ideas?
