Tivo won't change channels! Help!

I recently replaced the hard drive in my Tivo series 2 and everyting was working fine. Now it has lost the ability to change channels with the remote or to change channels to record a particular show. The blue box channel selector will display a channel "550" but it won't be on that channel.

Any suggestions? No hardware changes or setups have been made.

Make sure your IR blsters are firmly seated in the back of your tivo and properly positioned over the cable box's sensor. If they are firmly in place, then view them with a digital camera as the tivo tries to change channels. Are they flashing?
