Put the cdrom as the master on the ide cable, the hard drive as the slave. Put the cd in the drive. Power down the computer and power it back up. If that doesn't load and run let us know.

(make sure you have the jumpers set correct on the drives, and put them back afterwards)

should I power down before I cange the ide cable? When I made my cd the file was zipped and I just copied the zip file to cd, was that right?

YES------Power down before doing any cable swaps.

The Instantcake (if it is zipped) should be unzipped and burned as an .iso file on the CD.

If you have Nero or Sonic they will handle the iso file, if not there are some iso programs for free, do a google for "free iso maker" or burner.

There should be a little diagram on the hard drive label. Otherwise check the manual or their online support web site.
