Maybe the producers are tired of seeing Sanjaya :)

They've been down since last night... I connected briefly, but their site was so slow that I couldn't see the majority of the front page.

I'd imagine it's the /. effect. :)

I never visit the site (silly me, I try to vote for the best :rolleyes: ), but I made two attempts to access the site since I heard about this problem. Both attempts were successful (and it loaded quite quickly compared to other sites).

Yep, they are back with a brief message.

I would guess the increased traffic killed them temporarily.

the creator of the site was on stern last week, and he claims before the stern hype, they were getting a million hits a day, and 2-3 million on tues/wed nite.

it has to be alot more since he was on.

I don't understand why people visit that site. It is extremely lacking in content with limited updates. I get WHY the site exists, but just not why people would want to constantly visit it.

i bet it's alot of people checking to see if there is anything new... so they are on for 20 seconds a day.
