I could be wrong, but I believe it goes all year round. They take a week or 2 off here, kind of like Letterman, Leno...

Right .... there's no "season". It runs all year with breaks every few weeks.

Tivo does however have a bad habit of catching multiples of the same episode due to bad guide data

Especially when those episodes are repeats. The First Run episodes lately have had good Guide Data, so I haven't been bothered with extra recordings of those.

This almost seems like an intentional scheme of providing bad guide data to defeat "First Run Only" Season Passes.
