OK... I'm confused :)

Do you HAVE TO be a Cingular / ATT user to txt a vote?

I swear I txted votes in past years but I've always been with TMobile.

I want to vote tonight but don't want to call and when I tried the other week my txt didn't go thru... just "busy" or is it because I'm not Cingular?

Apparently, Indian Call Centers are canceling out whatever votes we place anyway. Though I'm not sure of the veracity of those accusations.

But directly to the question you asked...I sent a TXT message to that number once and I got nothing back (no rejection, no confirmation).

It's amazing that the infrastructure for voting in AI doesn't crash more often, given the insane volume it processes.

So on one phone we need to call and vote on the other we have to call tech support for our product that uses Indian tech support to keep them busy.

Howard Sterns girlfriend was on the View today and they were talking about how Howard is telling all his callers to vote for Sanjaya. I am so out of the loop on this show. But they were saying basically how Sanjaya must know it is being fluffed for him bc of all the callers voting just because etc.

I just got DialIdol set up.

I think it would be so awesome if someone made a version that used one of the free VoIP providers to make the calls. Then it could multiple calls at once.

Interesting to see the voting results 2 hours before the show even starts.

That's Diana Degarmo, his favorite Idol contestant ever. She came in 2nd to Fantasia, and Eric is still bitter.

I don't think there's any truth to that.

I think the real people voting for him are howard stern fans, VFTW and Indians living in America (but not Indian call centers).

I think the likelihood is Howard Stern Fans, then VFTW, then Indians in America, as you put.

Stern's influence...unfortuneately...is strong. This time, however, I'm glad he's got sway.
