Posted this in Season Pass, too, but the US version of the Vicar of Dibley is about to tape. I read that it is retitled, "Minister of Divine", and stars Kirstie Alley. It's set to tape on April 19th, but I don't know if that is also the broadcast date.

Anyone else with more information?

I've only ever seen one ep of VoD (our local PBS station pulled it the week after I found it. Thought it was fun. Kirstie should do good in it she has good comedic timing.

Glad to hear the positive review. I was worried about Kirstie -- but the writing is everything, in my opinion.

OTOH, none of the humour of the UK version is going to survive the Foxification of the concept. How can it be anything other than a weak shadow of Dawn French's masterful character?

Have you seen her new role in "Clatterford" on BBC America. I'm watching several episodes on faith, hoping that it will become as funny as Vicar of Dibley. Even watched several twice, and the second time is funnier because you catch more.

With Vicar, it took a little while to get into all the characters. Hopefully, this will prove to be addictive, too.
