View Full Version : Lost My 30 Second Skip

Had a power outage earlier today and of course the S3 rebooted and I lost the 30 second skip feature. So a few hours later I fired up an SD recording on the S3 and did the “Select” “Play” “Select” “3” “0” “Select” routine, but no tones and no 30 second skip. Tried entering the button sequence slowly and quickly to no avail.

Tried a cold reboot and a warm reboot same results. Tried several different recording while implementing the 30 second skip routine and nothing works. Even replaced the batteries in the remote, but still no joy.

Tried the other Select-Play-Select routines and got just one to work. S_P_S_InstantReplay_S that provides some useless info at the bottom of the screen worked once, but would not toggle off when entered a second time.

I am out of ideas, anyone got one?

It works every time for me.

I add an extra play into the sequence,
for some reason my HR10-250 never would take without the extra play, so it's habit now.

Play-select-play-select-3-0-select.

I hit the keys with a rythm, 1 key press a second.

1) You will need to reset it after any reboot of the system.
2) Remember to do it while watching a recorded program, otherwise it will not work.

Thanks for the reply. Gave your suggestion a try, but no luck.

Try it with Clear first instead -- and if you are really good you can put a Clear at the end which means you can even do it when watching Live TV (and it won't change the channel)

Clear - Select - Play - Select - 3 - 0 - Select

Your the Man Bob. Adding Clear to the routine worked for me. And it even worked while just watching live TV. Thanks Again!

i'm new to this...so, what will the "30 sec skip" button be then? that "-->" button on the right of the remote that, by default, fast forwards to the end of a program?

thanks.

Yes. Usually 8 presses gets me all the way through commercial breaks :)
