Let me apologize if this has been mentioned before. Recently I have noticed when I have my TV on live kind of like background sound all of a sudden I don't hear anything.

When I look at the set people are talking but no sound. This seems to occurre only on HD local channels but I can't say for certain.

From what I observe there is a brief lock up and then the picture returns without sound. However if I rewind to just after the lock up the sound is there - it's just not playing live for me.

This doesn't happen often and since I can back up and get the sound it's not much of a bother. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior.

I've seen this as well. As you said, a simple tiny rewind and play brings the sound, which was always there. It has been mentioned in other threads.

I have been experiencing this recently myself (like, in the past week or two), and only on my local ABC station which I receive via antenna

I'd just changed some ant. stuff around, so I thought it was because of that. Perhaps I'm now triggering the problem everyone else experienced, whereas my previous setup did not?

It doesn't appear to be happening on a wide spread basis then. I'm just glad I'm not alone in experiencing this. Like I said, nothing I can't live with. I guess when TiVo gets around to it they may fix this.

When I first got my S3 I had a problem with a jerky screen - it looked like it was playing to fast, ahead of live (In the future  ) and it was stuttering, that was the only time I had a sound issue. If I did the 7 second back skip or paused it for a second all cleared up - since my 8.1 update all is well.
