Tivo stuck in reboot cycle... pulled drives, hooked them up to my pc... booted from the mfstools2 cd. Ran mfsinfo as suggested by someone, shows 8 partitions with one partition empty. It also states that I have an estimated 202 hours and says that the MFS volume may be expanded 2 more times. I tried forcing the tivo into panic mode while the drives were in the unit, but that didn't seem to go anywhere. Can I do a mfs check with the boot cd? Or should I just run a mfg's diagnostic on the drives?
I took an extra hard drive that I had and restored a downloaded image on to it. It boots up fine and starts the guided setup. So I think I am safely assuming that the Tivo unit itself is fine, but that a problem exists with the hard drives.
Any suggestions?
