Is there a way to find out how much disk space each recorded program is using on a hacked/zippered Series2 DirecTivo? From what I understand, the DirecTivo simply saves the incoming DirecTV digital broadcast straight to disk, and different DirecTV channels have different bitrates, some use more data than others for higher quality audio or video. I am curious to see which channels use the most and least data and would like to see how my recordings compare in storage size. (ie, how does 1 hour of Discovery Channel compare to 1 hour of Cartoon Network....... or how does 2 hours of HBO compare to 2 hours of PayPerView in terms of disk storage space used to save the DirecTV digital broadcast).

the "mfs streamsize <FILE>" command is what you want
you get the file id from the part subobjects

If your unit was hacked with superpatch, then when you are on the program screen where you would select play, delete now, etc and then hit the Info button and go to the third page down you will see disk usage and the length of the program.

That's pretty cool. I did not know that Ronin.

You can also view the size down to the MB with TWP as well if you click on the title of the given show in the NPL.
