Do I have a bad power supply?

When I plug in my TiVo I get a strange sound coming out of the speakers. I opened the cover and disconnected the HD and still get the same sound. It sounds like something is clickingin the power supply. Is there a way I can test it or should I just order a new one?

Not sure how a "clicking power supply" would produce noise in your speakers ....
Where exactly are you hearing this noise? Is this Tivo actually working? If not, what are its symptoms?
