First id like to say thanks alot to all the informative posts that i have been reading, ive been reading for 3 days straight and did a hard drive upgrade on a rca dvr40 320gb :) single drive with the ptvupgrade and instantcake, networked wirelessly with usb200m and smc bridge, verified that it can connect to the web using the daily call feature, has the ip address of my tivo.
Now as for tivowebplus, i have tried to ftp into the machine (smart ftp)- firewalls disabled no go. Telenet thru lookatlan/hyperterminal asks for a password - ptvupgrade/ptvupgrade does not work tivo/tivo does not work. DID not install a password option through ptvupgrade.
I need a little push please im computer literate :) not linux inclined so step by step that a newbie could understand. Thanks.
