Tivo Radio Programs to iPod

What is considered the best way of getting radio recordings from Tivo to mu iPod?

I do have a method but it involves doing something that is not allowed to be discussed on here...it involves something on the "database of deals" and then splitting the file into its audio and video parts before converting the resultant audio to mp3 using a freeware programme called Switch.
