I have two working series one TiVo's. One is a 30 hour Sony and the other is a Philips (approx. 90 hours). Both work perfectly and have working remotes.

I made the switch from cable to DirecTv and no longer need these units. I will trade BOTH for a singe DirecTv Tivo unit. Can be any model as long as it works and comes with working remote.

I was hoping maybe someone here did the opposite of me and went from DirecTv to cable.

Send me a pm if you are interested in making a trade.

Thanks,
Sean

(Although I'm not sure this kind of post is allowed) Try the DirecTiVo section of this forum - you might have better luck!

Also, AFAIk, the DTiVos will not record any of the newer channel additions - all of which are MPEG-4 channels. But this is second-hand 'knowledge' - confirm it first :)

DirecTV PVRs with TiVo will work fine for NON-HD programming. That "core" programming isn't likely to change anytime soon (if ever).

HD programming is what is coming in as MPEG4.

(Though I suppose you could argue that in a few years everything will be HD and SD will be obsolete.)
