Stupid Question that needs an answer

When using the Zipper or PTVnet, does that do something to ability to call out using the phone line. The reason I ask is I received a second HDVR2 the other day and swapped out the hard drive with a larger one with the PTVnet installed. I cannot call the dvr service with this drive or another I have with the Zipper installed either. I have no problem calling out when I use the origianl hard drive and until I can call the dvr service I do not have use of the dvr functions such as scheduling recordings, etc.

I you used PTVnet, then yes, calls out have probably been disabled. I believe that PTVnet installs the fakecall.tcl script. You will need to run that before you can record anything.
