TiVo performing auto delete

Is anyone else encountering this with their S2: I recorded "America's Game" last night, which ended up moving to my delete folder. However, I had files sitting in my delete folder, and many older programs in my "Now Playing List". Almost every other program in my "Now Playing List" has the ! marked beside it. I would think the programs in the delete folder should get blown away first, then the older programs from "Now Playing List" with the !. I had "AG" marked with 3 thumbs up, although it is recording on best quality. (I usually use basic or medium.) While I was able to retrieve it and mark it keep until I delete, I find this annoying. What am I doing wrong?

What I have noticed is that when I go to record a program, I check the options for the recording, and change the "keep until" option to "save until I delete". Don't know if that is the issue, I just do that with all of my recordings, season passes, etc as I have lost recordings in the past.

Tivo will never move a program from Now Playing to Recently Deleted. When tivo deletes a program, it deletes it completely. Perhaps someone else in your household deleted it.

Since "recently deleted" was added, all it takes to move a show to RD is an errant press of the "clear" button. I'll bet someone simply "fat-fingered" the remote and hit "clear" without noticing.
