Anybody know how to export recorded programs from Series 3 to a DVD recorder - like we used to be able to do with Humax??

If you mean a digital transfer, stand-alone DVD recorders don't have any way to feed digital info into them (as far as I know).
There are also no home-use HD DVD recorders as of yet.
You'd have to set the Series 3 up to work with an analog TV device, as if you were using an analog 4x3 TV as a display device...
Then feed its audio and video into the stand-alone DVD recorder.
You'll get Standard Definition video on the DVD you create. It'll be based on your Series 3 recording, but it'll be in Standard Def no matter what type of recording the S3 made, and it'll take real time to transfer.
It'll also be only an analog transfer, not digital. The quality won't be bad, but it won't be High Def by any means.

Toshiba has an hd dvd recorder planned for July or Aug 07. Now hear this. You can buy it for the measly price of a little over $3000 dead presidents.
That being the case is there any way to transfer a recorded program on an s3 to an s2 dvd recorder (HUMAX xxx 800)? Or if I could copy it to my PC could it be burned to a dvd on my PC???? I am probably dreaming here!!! I have an s3 and an s2 HUMAX 800 connected to a yamaha receiver with a 50" Samsung hdtv. Have a wireless connection to my PC from each tivo.

Why is this thread in the Post Testing area?

The S3s don't have MRV/TTG transfers enabled ... and even if they did, the S2 DVD recorders like the Humax and Toshiba won't burn transferred programs, only recordings that were made on the box itself.
That being said, you could hook up the S-Video/composite audio outputs of the S3 to the inputs of your Humax, then do a "record from VCR" on the Humax and record the show from the S3. Then you could burn it to DVD. As mentioned above, though, it'll just be SD.
I do this currently with my S3 and my Samsung standalone DVD recorder.
