Hi all. I've been running through the Web for a few hours now trying to find an answer to a problem. Not sure the answer can be found here...but figured I'd start asking.
We have Direct TV with a Hughes DVR that we've had for about 3-4 years. Its untouched (IE: no hacks).
The problem that we're experiencing is pixelation. It is occurring on clear-blue days, yet with the intensity of a summer thunderstorm. Moreover, it is only happening on one channel (Our local ABC station of channel 8). I have purposely viewed other channels and it is ONLY this one channel.
Now, I have a standard Direct TV (IE: non-TIVO/DVR) receiver in my dining room and this problem does not occur with that equipment, only this one, so I'm thinking the problem is in the DVR, but the fact that it is only this one channel that's affected is bothering me.
If anyone has an idea of what the problem is, or where to direct me for an answer, I'd appreciate it...
Bill
