Tivo --> iPod?

Hey, I have a Tivo (the first version, I went to settings and could not find where to get the version info and stuff), and I was wondering how to get my episodes from Tivo to my Mac to my iPod.

I am not computer savyy ( I can use one, but all this networking and coding is a foriegn language to me), so if someone could tell me how to do this in a simple way I'd appreciate it.

I have seen that people are saying you must "hack" Tivo to be able to do this...I have no clue what that means or what that entails in terms of what to do.

I could download TivoTool, but I think I need to "hack" Tivo first or something...or put Tivo on a network (there is one from this computor to my printer...could I use that one?).

Anyway, please post here with any information you can give :)
