I'm a netflix junkie who got a Tivo in January.

I have about 400 movies left on my netflix list. While a lot of those are TV series and others with DVD extras that are better than broadcast offerings, there are at least 200 feature films that I could pick up off movie channels.

I've watched about a dozen films from my list on Tivo, which allowed me to remove them from netflix. However I would love to be able to import my netflix list into a process where I search for these films using tivo.com.

I know conceptually how to build a program to do that, but don't have the time to start it. Has anyone done this before?

thanks,

Don

There is a script that uses Greasemonkey that is an add-on for Firefox. When you login to Netflix in your Queue it will add a link if the show is scheduled on Tivo. You can then use that link to go to the online schedule page for that movie. I can not remember where you can download it but possibly it is listed on http://userscripts.org/. I do know there is also the Blockbuster Online Version as well.

I didn't find it on userscripts, but Google is your friend. It found this (http://community.livejournal.com/tivolovers/432137.html) [livejournal.com] article which links to this (http://www.runningasroot.com/blog/2007/02/26/netflix-tivo-and-greasemonkey/) [runningasroot.com] site. I haven't tried it myself, but I'm definitely interested in something like this. I'll have to give it a try when I get home. Thanks for the idea.

Wow!

I downloaded greasemonkey yesterday and didn't even have time to look for something like this. The Web 2.0 is so much better than the initial Web that I'm stunned. I've been a programmer for 15 years and this really really surprised me. That's amazing work.
