Unbox and the Macintosh? Questions...

Say, we've signed up for unbox-- and supposedly received a $15 in credit. Have a few questions.

Several things could have occurred.

1. His Mac crashed right after he it enter. Wait that can't be it. Macs never crash. :rolleyes:

2. Power outage after hitting enter.

3. Drunk at the keyboard. That happens to me sometimes. :)

4. He got caught at work.

None of the above. I entered a full post, with all the questions and details and it took it... Then I followed up with a couple of editing changes--and those, too, appeared fine.

It's pretty funny where it chose to cut off the message! :)

Now I'll have to rummage around and see if I can find my text. What a drag!

Let me try reconstructing this.

1) Once downloaded, can one transfer an unbox show to the Macintosh? (Even if it can't play it, can it at least be brought over?)

2) Space-- unbox shows are Best Quality-- how much room compared to Basic Quality does a 1 hour Best take up? T

hat I figured out on my own-- 4.5 hours of Best = 1 hour of Basic on both of our Tivos. So, I won't just download a bunch of unbox stuff all at once--the space hit would be too great.

3) Can one burn the unboxed shows to a DVD?

We have those DVD burning Tivos. This would be for shows we bought. It'd be cool to archive them for future watching-- and to free up space.

4) Can one transfer unboxed shows from 1 Tivo to another wirelessly?

Well, there's that-- not as well expressed as the original ones but at least they're posted!

I just discovered that the original is available. Weird! One thing I changed was the title of my post when I edited it. Do you suppose it automatically creates a separate thread? It shouldn't.
