No signal on second Sat

I have a have two old DSR 6000 boxes. One of them began losing the second satalite signal. At first when I would reset the box it would come back. Now it goes out intermittantly and reset does no good. I really don't want to upgrade right now. Any thoughts on a fix, or where to find a used box to put my hard drive into?

Swap the two inputs and see if the problem shifts to Sat In 1.
Also, swap the two units to see what happens. What dish do you have and what are the signal strengths on all transponders?

If the problem always stays with Sat In 2 on the one box, then that tuner is bad. Otherwise check all cables and connections.
