I purchased this HR10-250 a few weeks ago on ebay.
I had DTV send me a new access card, but when installed, we got a "data corruption" message.
We thought it might be a bad card so they sent another card.
In the mean time I purchased and installed an instant cake drive.
The Tivo would not even fire up at all. I've done a few of these before so I am fairly confident I did everything right.
I assumed it was a bad hard drive. I ordered a brand new drive from Weaknees (pre-fomatted) and the Tivo fired up just fine. Called DTV and CSR tried to activate card. Now card reader can not see any card. We tried to take a card out of another HR10 (it should have read "wrong card") and still nothing.
Now it looks like the card reader is bad. That's what the CSR says.
Any ideas? Can the card reader be replaced?
