Tonight I was checking my to do list and I noticed that this coming sunday's "Amazing Race" is not going to record because "someone modified the season pass. I haven't reinstated the recording yet - I'm waiting to see if it comes back by itself.

Anybody else have this issue? This problem seemed to have disappeared, but last week I got bit by the same bug when "Survivor" wasn't going to record (luckily I noticed this first and was able to reinstate the recording)

There is an extensive thread in the DirecTV with TiVo forum concerning this.

I wouldn't wait for it to fix itself. Try a simple reordering of your season pass. This may fix it. Or course, deleting the pass and re-entering will work.

Also remember that when you create a new season pass and it finds a conflict it gives the user the option of "Record all episodes". This makes the new season pass Number 1 even if you think of it as a lower priority than some other priority 1 season pass.

The thing is - I didn't create a new season pass - I haven't touched them in weeks and this episode was in my to do list yesterday. Also, this is the ONLY program that was to be recorded on Sunday.

I'm going to wait a few days anyway before I manually reinstate the episode. The last time this happened to me the programs can back into the to do list on their own.

This seems to be a problem that was introduced on 6.x version of the code. It does happen on 3.1.5 but as a normal condition instead of in error on 6.x. I am on 3.1.5f and have two cases of "Someone in the household modified..." messages. One is for NCIS on 3/6 the other is 30 Rock on 3/8. Ten days ago both of these appeared in the "To Do List". Sometime after that, the guide data changed and the word "Repeat" was added to both entries. Because I only record first runs of both shows, they got moved from the "To Do List" to the "View Recording History" and were marked "Won't Record" because "Someone in the household modified...".

I have found that when any program gets moved from the "To Do List" to the "View Recording History" as "Won't Record", the reason is always "Someone in the household modified...". This is what I consider a normal condition and I don't want those programs to record. When my two units were on 6.3a and b, I got the condition for programs that I did want to record.

I restored 3.1.5f to both of my HR10-250s over a month ago and have never seen an invalid "Someone in you household modified..." message. I saw several of them when using 6.x.

I checked the to do list again today and "Amazing Race" is back scheduled to record.

Directv is still screwing around with the guide data. I guess I'm just going to have to keep babysitting my to do list.

I have 3.1.5f and have the problem. No SP's record, can't redo the SP's because there "are no upcoming episodes". All guide data for every channel disappeared Monday.

Reboot = no help to restore SP's, but the guide did re-populate
Forced Call = "Updating" and the call will not go through.

Any suggestions?

I figured that if they are developing a fix for the guide data issue, then they probably need to turn on the guide data that caused the issue to test it. I wouldn't be surprised if they are turning the guide data back on for a brief period while they test out their code changes. They then turn the guide data back off after they have their results. That could be why it seems sporadic.

Unless they have a way of sending the guide data to their test machines without using that actual satellite stream. I guess they could have some system that the machine thinks is the dish, but it's just a machine sending the data stream to the tivo.
