Help Please Somone !

:confused: I havd the direct tv hr 10-250 model.My wife bought me a Samsung Dvd -R130 I cannot get this thing to work for me .The tv I have is the Hitachi Projection color tv 46f500 .Can someone walk me through step by step instructions to hook this thing up so I can use it.I know I can only record in 480i by right now if i could just get the thing to play and record I will be happy.P.S. Please break it down in lamems terms :confused:

Connect an S-Video cable from the output of the HR10 to the input of the DVD recorder. If it does not have S-Video input, use a composite video cable (yellow jack). Connect a stereo audio cable (red and white jacks) from the HR10 output to the input of the DVD recorder.

To record a DVD, select your program on the TiVo from Now Playing and press right-arrow. Select "Save to VCR". Set the HR10 to 480i using the front panel button. On the DVD recorder, select the line input (see its manual) and start recording. Tell the TiVo to start playing.

When the program ends, press Stop on the DVD recorder.

Some DVD recorders have a "one touch record" feature that start recording for a fixed time - this can be handy.

Steve Thank you .So I do not need to hook this thing up separately.I have that one touch record button so that will help.So that I understand what your saying Just switch the tivo from 1080i 480i whenever I want to record ?And then change the recorder to av1 ? :)

I'm not sure what you mean by hooking it up "separately".

But, what stevel said is the way it is done.
