I thought I understood WL and how the choose the shows to record and how those shows get placed in folders on mt series 2 DTiVo (unhacked except for greater storage) but his has me confused.

I have a TITLE autorecord WL for Stargate and show types/series to get all the Stargate SG1 and the Atlantis shows and it does that just fine.

I have NO season pass or WL for Heroes on this DTiVo.

Today I noticed that the Stargate folder contains the Heroes show titled "Company Man". The word Stargate appears nowhere in the info or extended info and I triple checked and the WL is a title WL.

Heroes is not a suggestion as it does not have the suggestion logo.

This is not a big deal as I do have an SP for Heroes on another DTiVo and I can delete it without problem but having it automagically appear in the Stargate folder is perplexing.

I know a keyword WL can pickup the keyword form deep in the data but a title WL should only look at the show name (Heroes) and the episode title (Company Man) neither of which are Stargate unless there has been a dramatic change in the language in the last few days.

Anyone have an idea what has happened?

Was this Heroes episode recorded on SciFi? Is it possible that the guide originally had a Stargate episode scheduled, but was replaced with a Heroes at the last minute, before the box could re-index?

I've seen it happen where the guide data was correct, but the index still had the wrong info. Since Tivo records from the index, it just may have recorded that time slot thinking that a Stargate episode was being broadcast.

Then again, it could be something completely different.

I thought of that but, when I have seen it before the title displayed in the NP list was what it thought was being recorded not the actual recording. But, as I said, I am stumped.

No it was on SciFi not BBC. (Monty Python reference for those not sufficiently deranged.)
