No Sound on Channel when Changing Directly to Channel Using Numeric Pad

If I use the numeric pad to go directly to channel 203 (ESPNHD) I get no sound or if I use the channel up button to go to channel 203 from channel 202 I get no sound. However, if use channel down button to go to channel 203 from channel 204 I have sound. This seems to happen on both cablecards.

It seems someone else was having the same issue and they thought it had something to do with "PID" being out of sync between the audio and video. Anyone else having this issue after 8.1 update? I just noticed this problem last night so I'm not sure if it is the result of the 8.1 update since I've had it over a week.

I don't have this exact problem, but perhaps it's related somehow.

There is one particular channel (Fox Sports Bay Area Plus) that occasionally will not have sound when I tune to it. However, if I tune to some other channel, then back, the channel will have sound. This behavior has been present for the entire four or so months that I've had my S3, so it pre-dates the 8.1 rollout. I don't know whether the problem is caused by the S3 or one of the CableCARDs.

I always tune to FSBAP via the program guide, so my situation isn't exactly like yours. However, it sounds similar and I thought you might find this information useful.
