Well YAY, I'll start...

Pretty entertaining episode all-around. Since I'm in the "hate both Logan and Christopher" camp, the lack of Chris and the presence of Logan being a jerk yet again made me smile. I know, poor guy made a big investment mistake, blah blah blah... But to follow up (paraphrasing) "I don't feel like going with you to your best friend's baby shower" with "I'm hopping a private jet to Vegas with my friends" was just plain inexcusable. Maybe we'll see the end of him after all. I was pulling for a Marty reunion up until the whole "let's pretend we never met before" fiasco earlier this season. I'm thinking Logan's jerky behavior is going to open Rory up to some more flirting with that cute guy who's subbing for her grandpa's class.

I also loved the Lane vs. Mrs. Kim storyline, and how Lorelai became their Kissinger. Moving the bed to Miss Patty's and the decorating the onesies thing was cute too. "I see cheese." HA! But I really wanted to hear April's story featuring our hero, Kirk. Also missed seeing any Paris action. I guess she was busy with "the list".

I haven't taken the time to figure out spoiler tags here yet, so I won't reveal anything about next week's preview other than it looks like a FUN episode! Any time we get those 3 generations together for a prolonged period of time, sparks are sure to fly.

There was some good stuff this week. Lane, her mother and lorelai was very good. Seeing logan's true colors again this week was awesome. Just like any other scum bag when things go bad the show thier true colors like christopher. Luke finally getting rid of the boat and moving on was also solid. I like this episode and next weeks looks off the chart.

Was that the same style brass bed as in the Monkey's intro? It looked familiar.

Here's to hoping that Logan's bankruptcy and subsequent bender with his rich pals is the beginning of the end for Rory and Logan.

I liked this episode too. And this past season has been the worst, IMO.
I didn't like the part where they rolled the bed out to Miss Patty's.... why not just keep the party at Lorelai's, and have her in bed at the house? Too much cheese for me...
I enjoyed seeing Kirk again, he is so funny.

I too dislike Logan AND Chris... I hope Rory ditches Logan, what a jerk thing, not being there for her on something important to her, but going backwards and being immature... I found it funny how he parallelled Chris LAST week (Chris not being there for Lorelai at the hospital... when she REALLY needed him- but there was Luke!!!)

I liked the Lane storyline (I loved Zach calling him and Lane John Lennon and Yoko Ono!)

The best part of the whole episode was seeing Rory in Stars Hollow, and the Gilmore Girls being funny together. Felt like old times...

I think that the second half of last season was the worst IMO. That is when AP found out the network would not bow to her wishes and she attempted to burn the show to the ground.

+1. And it wasn't a gradual decline, either. Everything pretty much went to hell starting with "I Get a Sidekick Out of You" (four episodes). Not that hard to tell when A-SP got the news from The WB.

Whats so damn important about a baby shower? Its not like she's giving birth. He -did- show up when her grandfather was hospitalized.

Sure it was not life or death but it was some thing important to his girlfriend. He could of easily postponed his trip a few hours to go to the party with rory. Instead he did the typical logan/christopher thing and ran when things get hard. It was not a business trip it was a trip to go get drunk and hang out in the casino's of vegas. This is not the first time he ran when there was some trouble. Logan will always be all about logan guys like him don't change he is a self centered ahole just like christopher.

It's not the fact that he didn't go that annoyed Rory...it's the fact that he jetted off to Vegas with nary a word of notice.

She assumed that he'd want to spend time with her, especially given the recent corporate happenings and his self-isolation because of them, and it hurt her when he suddenly jumped up and said, "Oh, Finn's got a jet at Teterboro, and I'm meeting him in an hour."

Hell, I'd be pissed too.

Logan was there for Rory, but Chris was not.
He showed up for a second, but when he saw Luke, Chris yet again made it about him again.
I think that Chris and Logan are meant to be alike: Spoiled/ Well bred/ NOT responsible... etc.

They should end the show with Lorelai and Rory moving away from those losers!

Unfortunately, I see how Rory can salvage Logan's investment woes to some degree. She can either get Christopher and/or Richard to invest in Logan's next big thing.

That's exactly what I meant... Rory seemed to be OK with Logan staying home and wallowing in self-pity instead of going to Lane's shower with her, but then he perked right back up with the "I'm going to Vegas!" shocker. I didn't even realize Logan has been going out with Rory all this time and hasn't met most of the quirky residents of Stars Hollow. She seemed disappointed and made a comment about how she had hoped he could meet everyone.

Forgot to mention, I also thought the coffee shop meeting set-up with the NY Times guy was cute - how poor Rory was giving every bald man the "look" and "making their day" - since she had nothing else to go on. Who hasn't been in that kind of situation?

And Jesda, you're right - Logan WAS there at the hospital - even wrangled a helicopter to get there - AND went back to the house with Rory to pack up Richard's comfort stuff - so he did earn a few points there. Still doesn't change how much he creeps me out, though! LOL.

Dont get me wrong, I dont really like Logan and never did from the beginning.
I think Rory's disappointment in this episode was a little much considering it was just a baby shower for someone he doesn't know and he just lost everything.

I was wondering about this too, having still not watched any of last season...Logan still hasn't even bothered to meet Rory's friends?! They've been together for a very long time and if he still hasn't taken the time to share the biggest part of her life - her extended family - then she really should be upset that he jetted off to Vegas instead of going to SH with her. Baby shower or no baby shower, it's like he isn't interested in what makes Rory who she is. That's not going to fly for long.
