"The cast and producers have consistently given us what we want from 'Las Vegas"-pure entertainment-and we're looking forward to another fun ride next season with the show," said Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.

I think the show wraps up it's 4th Season in a week or two. I had a feeling that was about it. I was wrong...

Yeah, but there are changes...

As there is nothing that says spoilers are allowed, I'll spoilerize this.

I'm happy it's getting renewed, but the losing of two major characters is :(.

You have a minor character name mistake in your spoiler:

Nikki Cox plays Mary, not Sam

Other than eye candy, this show is exactly what is quoted about "pure entertainment".

I look forward to it each week. Sam is definitely a reason to keep watching.

Considering what happened on the show as of last week, the move spoilerized above isn't really a surprise. I don't know how they lured that person into TV at all, really. It will be fun to see how they resolve those storylines.

"The cast and producers have consistently given us what we want from 'Las Vegas"-pure entertainment-

That's exactly why I view Las Vegas. I don't try to explain the storylines or that at times it's too ridiculous for words. I just sit back on a Friday evening (or more likely Saturday morning) and enjoy a decent hour of gratuitous T&A shots. :D

One of the cast changes suck.. the other one.. not so much..... I didn't start watching this show early on, but I will agree with the "pure entertainment" aspect. This show is sap, but it is entertaining and fun... Not much to think about when watching it, but it does harken me back to some of the less series shows in the 70s and such.

I think uncdrew was talking about the twins for two of those three.

I'm always several episodes behind on this show so I wouldn't be sad to see it go, but I guess if it sticks around, I won't complain. However, I'm not sad to see
Mary and Ed go. Mary's role has been laughable at best, and the twins have been getting increasingly droopy. As for Ed, I've always wondered how they had a 75 yo guy claiming to be a badass and instilling fear in everyone. It will be nice to see them make a change there, as long as they don't repeat the Lara Flynn Boyle disaster.

I definitely agree about Mary, her character has seemed out of place and unnecessary. While it was amusing to see her join surveillance a couple episodes back, it was also comically stupid at best.

On the other hand, I'm not sure Danny can really take over Ed's shoes. Ed left for Paris and within 30 minutes they were already calling him with problems. Admittely big problems but still going to Ed.

I totally agree that Danny can't take over as President. That would be way too unbelievable. I think he's already head of Surveillance and Security, and I'd guess that's where he'd stay. If I had to guess how they'll do it, they'll bring in someone else to be president, but that person will simply not be as involved in the day-to-day operations and will only make appearances every few episodes or so, kind of like when Brunson owned the casino a few seasons ago but we only saw him occasionally.

Isn't it all up to Sam anyway, now that she is the owner?

Not totally surprising that they are dropping Mary as it's been pretty obvious that they haven't known what to do with her character for the past two years.

I'd say it's high time to bring back Marsha Thompson and put her in Ed's old job.
Unfortunately, they'll probably put Delinda there instead.

I thought Linderman from Heroes was the real owner of the Montecito. ;)

Perhaps they could steal a few characters from Crossing Jordan. :D

can we just add spoiler to the title and get rid of all these tags?
