Star Trek : The original series is been remastered and shown on affiliates.
I am trying to figure out what channel would have it on my DirecTv in Miami. The TV description doesn't specify if this is the remastered version or just an old rerun.
Any help, thanks.

I don't think it has been announced yet!

Based on the page at Startrek.com (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/news/article/25835.html?page=1), it looks like WBZL would be the station showing it.

If you can find a way to get distants, the NY and LA NBC stations show it on Sunday nights/Monday mornings.

That list isn't completely accurate. For Dallas, it says KTXA, but it hasn't run on there in months. I see it on KFWD instead.

Thats why I was asking because WBZL doesn't seem to be showing them...
WNBC sounds good, I'll check

If you have distant locals, KNBC would also work.
However, if you search your TiVo under Star Trek, you might see that WSFL is showing Trek Remastered.
I think that only TVLand is showing the unenhanced versions.

I think G4 is, too.

G4 is showing Trek 2.0.

G4 is showing Trek 2.0.
;)
Right. But they were also showing classic, non-enhanced and non-2.0 TOS. I'm not sure if they are still doing both, though. I don't get G4 any longer.
Did they drop TOS 2.0 when they added TNG 2.0?

MeTV out of Chicago is showing it...unfortunately, that doesn't help you much in Florida. :)

All I find is TVLAND and G4 (Searching the Tivo listings). And both of those seem to be TOS orig.
What is TOS 2.0? ENhanced in some way?
I wanted to see some of the TOS remastered to see how they are turning out... :(

I looked on zap2it.com on the DirecTV Miami lineup and I came up with
Space Seed:
39 WSFL Sat 3/3 6:00 AM
991 WSFL Sat 3/3 6:00 AM
385 WNUV Sun 3/4 3:00 AM
82 WNBCDT Mon 3/5 3:05 AM
83 KNBCDT Mon 3/5 3:05 AM
382 WNBC Mon 3/5 3:05 AM
881 WNBC Mon 3/5 3:05 AM
383 KNBC Mon 3/5 3:05 AM

That should be for TOS Remastered.
According to Google, WSFL is the CW affiliate for South Florida, (http://cwsfl.trb.com/about/site/feedback/wbzl-station-aboutus,0,496009.htmlstory?coll=wbzl-feedback-1) aka WB39.
(WNUV is the Baltimore CW affiliate)
What DirecTV package(s) do you have?
I'd think that one of listed stations is on your lineup.

TOS 2.0 has a ticker screen surrounding the picture. It's okay for a few minutes, but gets annoying after that. The show itself is unaltered (other than being cut for syndication).
If you're curious what TOS Remastered looks like, check the reviews on www.trekmovie.com. They run before and after shots for each episode.

The remastered STAR TREK has been running since September.
It's not on any one channel, nor is it running on any cable/satellite channel.
It's been sold to individual local TV stations all over the country.
If it's available to DirecTV owners, it'd only be when that customer has a package that includes local channels, and one of those local channels is running it.
Here's a link to what channels across the country are running TOS-Remastered.
Remastered" webpage:

Channel list:

I've heard you can also download the episodes on iTunes, but I'm not sure if all the episodes are in the "Remastered" format.
I don't believe any local channel has the rights to the original version of STAR TREK (as in not-remastered). Those are being run on TV LAND.

That's the same list that's on startrek.com and it looks like WBZL changed it's callsign to WSFL at the beginning of the year. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WSFL-TV)

It would seem WSFL (the new CW 39), old WBZL has it on SAT AM. I will record the next one to see if it is actually the remastered ones. The TVLAND ones are the originals.
That G4 thing is annoying. On ST:TNG they keep "beeping" into the show to show you news banner things on the bottom. Super annoying.
On the channels above, I don't receive 381, 382, 383, 384, 385... I am not sure what package they are for.

All the airings of TOS on broadcast stations should be the remastered version. Next up is a rerun of "Space Seed". [Okay, they've been rerun since 1969, but this is a previously broadcast remastered episode.]
Next "new" episode is the following week, "Wolf in the Fold". Too bad you missed "The Doomsday Machine", that was great.

The list provided is only for those local channels running the remastered version. So YES, that channel IS running the remastered version.
As mentioned in an earlier reply, no local channel has the rights to the original version; those are running on TV LAND. (And G4...sort of, I guess.)

Thanks guys for the info.
Maybe they will re-re-re-re----....---re-re run it and Tivo will catch it for me.
The beauty of a 500Gb Humax with DVD recorder... :)
