Mine still constantly reboots and needs to be unplugged to stop looping. Is this happening to anyone else?

I guess I am the only one. I suppose I will exchange for a refurb then.
Does TiVo give you the option to send your box after you receive a replacement. Or do they make you go without a TiVo for a while? Mine is past the initial 90 days.

You should call TiVo immediately. Their return policy is only 30 days. Hopefully the will make an exception.

I had a pretty bad case prior to 8.0; I could reproduce the problem at will, and the only solution for me was to go through guided setup twice.
After 8.1, I can't make it happen again. I'd say you've got a bum unit.

Why did you create another thread on this? Isn't this the same issue you were having in this thread?

Sounds like a hard drive issue. I would contact Tivo.

How do they charge you for labor on a " repaired, renewed, or comparable product"?

They will send you a unit immediately if you give them a credit card. You pay for the new unit, then they credit you back once they get the old unit. This is how I exchanged mine.
