Hi everyone!
EDIT: FIXED THIS PROBLEM:
I recently added a WEP password to my home network. I got all my computers up and connected but the two TiVo's I have are refusing to connect. They say they can't find the DHCP server. Any ideas? Could it be the fact that I'm using a 128bit (alpha-numeric) key?

EDIT: STILL HAVE THIS PROBLEM
Also, I'm using TiVo Desktop 2.0 and over time it's accumulated some dead files. When I go to my transfer que there are a number of 'details unavailable' and when I click on them I get a warning saying that the 'element' is 'missing.' Any idea how to get rid of these without upgrading to a later version of the desktop?

support and help is much appreciated!

had to switch to a 64bit key, and make sure that they were all hex digits, and that there were 10 digits.

that fixed it good.

When I transfer a show and it fails due to a video glitch (or whatever), I occasionally get the "details unavailable" message the next time I open TivoDesktop.
A while back I read something about going into the TD folder on the computer and deleting info in one of the "cache" files, but don't remember which one.

Is there a reason you're still using TD2.0? I understand if you are the type of person who thinks "if it works to my satisfaction as is, no need to update and get new bugs", that is why I'm still using TD2.2.

I'm using 2.0 because I have a direct-dump utility that converts the .tivo files to .mpegs and it won't work with files transfered by a later version of TD.

do u have a fix?

This is the fix I was thinking of.
However, I can't say its the one you need.
You'll just have to try it.
