I have been trying to research some stuff on the web recently. In this process, I have run into a bunch of forums that restrict searching to registered users. For the record, TCF seems to do this as well.
Now maybe there is a good reason for this. Maybe it reduces server load. I don't know. But if I am looking for information about something ONCE, why do I need to register to find the answer?
Personally, I find it irritating and generally move on rather than register.
Am I over-reacting?
