I was wondering if anyone has every used Videora with a HUMAX DVD/DVR series 2 unit? I just installed the software on my pc and when I get home tonight I want to see if it works.

If I have read some of the literature about VIDEORA it will take a .mpeg file and convert it to a new .mpeg file that has a different bitrate than orinally and this new file can then be played on a TIVO unit after transfering it to a TIVO unit.

Just looking for any ideas, help, or caution that I should consider.

Thanks in advance.
Gary

Th Humax will ONLY burn what it has itself recorded off its input(s).

You CAN view self-edited video files in a certain range of bitrates/resolutions when you drop them onto the Humax, though - just can't record them to DVD.

(did I misunderstand your question?)

I have been successful in converting a file from .mpeg to a tivo .mpeg file format. I want to post the new file up to my personal website and then have a user download it and load it to their TIVO. If someone would like to test it out with me feel free to email me at gary_f_shelton@sbcglobal.net

Umm - do it on your own TiVo. If it works there, it'll work everywhere. I don't get what you're trying to achieve here - lots of folks use videora or ffmpeg to bring other video files to their various TiVos.
