Went wireless..Tivo desktop does not see my unit

I just went wireless. Linksys G Router and I have the Tivo adapter on my series 2 dt

All is fine on the Tivo.. it had connected and updated fine. Last night I went to try to download a program on the tivo desktop but it said that is not tivo unit

Disable your firewall, antivirus, and spyware to see if the unit connects.

If it does, determine which is the culprit.

It will probably turn out to be the firewall.
The desktop program is supposed to properly configure the firewall when setup, but sometimes it does not happen, or somehow forgets.

You might also try removing, then installing the Tivo Desktop again to try and let it reconfigure the network/firewall settings properly.

Mine did the same thing yesterday. So far, so good.

You won't lose any transferred shows if you do this.

All of the above is assuming the Tivo desktop was previously working properly and connecting with the Tivo and succesfully transferring.
