I season pass baseball games and I am wondering if there is a way to strip the audio out of the file and into a mp3 or something. I do not need the entire video file on my laptop, I just want to listen to the games while working.

See this thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=284465).

You can use something like VideoRedo to save the .tivo file as separate video and audio files and then reformat (if necessary) the audio file for your playback device.

Thank you. Looking at Videoredo, I have the option of saving as .vob or mpeg or .ts. I imagine it would be .vob then what I am not sure. I do not see an option to save audio only, just the entire file.

A quote from the mentioned thread. From Dan203, "the MAN".

Actually I just tried it and there is a way to do this all from VideoReDo. In the Save Video dialog there is an Options button. If you click on that you can change the audio encoding to LPCM/WAV. Do that and change the output type to Elementry Streams and you'll end up with a WAV file which you can use in any CD authoring program.

Yeah, sorry, should have mentioned you need to do the Save As and change to "Elementary Streams" which gives you the separate audio and video files. :o

Not exactly the answer you were looking for, buuuut, MLB Gameday Audio is an option too. It is streaming audio of every game, every team all season, and it's less than 20 bucks per year.

You also get archives, so you can go back and listen whenever you'd like.

I've been a subscriber for about 5 years now, and I love it.
