I just loaded TVTG this weekend. WHenever I try to play back a transferred video on my PC, it plays back at about 2x speed. I have Win XP, and just downloaded WMP11 hoping that would help.

As a test, I transferred the 2 minute TiVO intro video. In WMP, it shows as 55 seconds.

I tried a search for WMP and codec, but was a bit overwhelmed by all the results. Any suggestions of where to start?

Thanks

Those samples do that. You probably don't have a problem. Record a real show and transfer that before you go and mess up your codecs.

That worked. Why don't the 2 minute videos work? Is it the quality setting or just some odd video source thing?

Your guess is as good as mine.

It's a problem with how they are encoded. The multiplexor on the TiVo, which converts the ty streams to the .tivo program stream, expects the video to be in a specific format. These videos do not conform to that format, and as such when they are transfered they get multiplexed incorrectly.
